A genuine SHOWCO crew ringer tee from one of rock history's most significant concerts — The Who at Wembley Stadium, August 18, 1979. This was the band's first major performance following the death of Keith Moon, with new drummer Kenney Jones and a new horn section stepping into an impossible spotlight. Support acts that day included AC/DC, The Stranglers, and Nils Lofgren — making it one of the most stacked bills of the era.
This shirt comes from the personal collection of Donnie "DK" Kretzschmar, a beloved SHOWCO veteran. The cartoon figure on the front left chest is believed to depict Bobby Pridden, The Who's legendary front-of-house sound engineer, who began working with SHOWCO Sound of Dallas in October 1975. Someone from the crew added some creative permanent marker embellishments to the figure — I've censored the photos, but you'll get the idea. It's part of the story.
