The Universal Amphitheatre opened in 1971 as an outdoor arena for the Stunt Show tour. It later became a popular music venue, expanding to 5,200 seats in 1973 and then to 6,251 seats in 1982. It closed in 2013 after a partnership with Universal, Gibson Guitar, and House of Blues.
