Madison Square Garden Vintage Button – Doc Gans
Madison Square Garden Vintage Button – Doc Gans
An original vintage Madison Square Garden pin-back button — sourced directly from the personal archive of Bill 'Doc' Gans, SHOWCO sound engineer who worked countless shows at the world's most famous arena.
This small round button features the classic MSG logo in white on black — "madison square garden" in lowercase serif type — with the full venue address printed below: Pennsylvania Plaza, 7th Ave, 31st to 33rd Sts, For information call (212) 564-4400. The button is heavily aged throughout: the gold surface is mottled and oxidized, and the back is almost entirely consumed by rust — a testament to decades of storage in a working road crew archive. A piece of New York City rock history from the inside.
