An extraordinary group of original documents preserving one of Showco’s wildest road stories—featuring Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, The Who drummer Keith Moon, and a Corvette purchased in Dallas.
In March 1975, Showco crewmen Bill “Doc” Gans and Lacey Weathers were assigned to transport Bonham’s newly purchased Corvette from Dallas to Los Angeles. The car was loaded into a Showco truck and carried west, leading to an unforgettable delivery involving Bonham and Keith Moon.
This Collector Vault grouping includes:
- Original 1975 letter bearing John Bonham’s signature
- Related Showco expense reports documenting the trip
- Direct Showco crew provenance
- Doc Gans’ recorded firsthand account
- Certificate of Authenticity from Showco Archives
Provenance: From the personal collection of Showco alumnus Bill “Doc” Gans and preserved by Showco Archives.
Doc’s accompanying account is presented as he remembers it nearly 50 years later; some details may differ from surviving photographs or records.
