KISS Original Handwritten Input List & Mic Chart — SHOWCO / ZZ Top Tour (1974/1975)
An original handwritten input list and mic chart used by SHOWCO sound crew during KISS's run as the opening act for ZZ Top, circa 1974/1975. This intimate, working document captures the raw infrastructure of a legendary live show — channel assignments for Bass Voc, Drum Voc, Sp. Eff, Bass, Ryth, Lead, Kick, Snare, Hat, Floor Toms, Ride, and OH, alongside a hand-sketched monitor wedge diagram with X1 and X2 positions and notes on monitors for vocals, lead, snare, and kick.
Written on a plain pink sheet and taped for use at the console, this is the kind of ephemera that never made it into the archive — it was meant to be thrown away after the show. That it survived is a testament to the meticulous record-keeping of Doc Gans and the SHOWCO crew.
Provenance: From the personal collection of Bill 'Doc' Gans, SHOWCO sound engineer. Authenticated SHOWCO Archives original.
