Jackson Browne Running on Empty Tour '78 Button – Doc Gans
Jackson Browne Running on Empty Tour '78 Button – Doc Gans
An original vintage pin-back button from Jackson Browne's Running on Empty Tour 1978 — sourced directly from the personal archive of Bill 'Doc' Gans, SHOWCO sound engineer.
This large round button features the iconic fuel gauge design — needle pointing just past empty, with E and F on either side and "1/2" at the top — "Jackson Browne" arched above and "Running on Empty / Tour '78" below. The same fuel gauge motif appears on the satin backstage pass also in Doc's collection. The button shows significant age: heavy oxidation on the pin back, surface wear and patina consistent with nearly 50 years. A companion piece to one of the most celebrated live albums in rock history.
