Ethos Vintage Band T-Shirt — Grey (Doc Gans Collection)
A rare piece of Indiana prog rock history — an original vintage Ethos band t-shirt in grey, sourced directly from the personal collection of Showco alum Bill “Doc” Gans.
About Ethos
Ethos were an Indiana-born progressive rock band whose adventurous sound — blending folk, jazz, and pop with intricate musicianship and rich vocal harmonies — made them a standout in the 1970s US prog scene alongside Yes, Genesis, and King Crimson.
Several Ethos members and crew went on to work for Showco, earning the nickname “Ft. Wayne boys” in the touring world — a group that included Michael Ponczek, Wil Sharpe, Craig Schertz, Paul “Biker” Strong, Thom Hansen, and Dale Newman. Phil Collins would often shout them out on stage by name. The Ethos–Showco connection may have even played a role in introducing Genesis to Showco’s legendary crew.
Ethos member Dr. Funk has his own Crew Closet in the shop — check it out for more pieces from the Ethos–Showco world.
